The Afrocentric Sound Institute

Hiya, peeps! It is your friend and selector, Marlon West.
I am delighted to have an opportunity to sling more dandy tunes here on the PocketRadio. I've thrown together a set of music that features all kinds of funky sounds. Including a recent release from Ethiopian vibe master, Mulatu Astake with The Heliocentrics, and classic work from Afro-pop genius, Tony Allen. There is a double dose of Daptone Records from The Daktaris and Soul Sister Number One: Sharon Jones. I do hope you enjoy the meditation on '70s funk from The Kashere Stage Band, Pucho & His Latin Soul Brothers, and Curtis Mayfield. This was a fun mix to put together.
Please enjoy The Afrocentric Sound Institute.

Ladies and gents, do look for more "It's Funky Reggae Time" shenanigans coming soon.

Until such time.
